Earthshot Prize
GreenCape has been honoured to be selected as one of the official nominators for the Earthshot Prize. The Earthshot Prize is a global environmental prize and platform for impact dedicated to finding and growing solutions that will repair our planet in this decade. More information can be found here.
The top nominations are shortlisted, with 15 finalists receiving support to scale their solutions by joining their fellowship program. Five winners are chosen, with each receiving a £1 million grant.
The Earthshot Prize will consider solutions that make tangible progress toward one of the following five categories:
- Protect and restore nature
- Build a waste-free world
- Clean our air
- Fix our climate
- Revive our oceans.
To be eligible, businesses must:
- Be beyond the idea stage
- Have tested their solutions in the field or with target audiences
- Be at a "tipping point" for scaling their impact within the next five years.

Nominations close on Friday, December 15, 2023, and the screening process will take place from January 2024.
