TIA is calling for the submission of funding applications for Urban/Township Agriculture Technologies . This call aims to support groundbreaking technology initiatives /projects aimed at modernisation of the agriculture sector, addressing food insecurity and uplifting township communities. Technology solutions supported by this call are expected to maximise food production in small spaces, closed environmental settings/buildings, promote a healthy ecosystem and increase biodiversity in urban areas while addressing the challenges of food insecurity, nutrition insecurity and unemployment. Applications are invited from any South African legal entity, including start-up companies, small, medium and micro enterprises, private individuals, science councils and higher education institutions.

COMPULSORY BRIEFING SESSION
A compulsory briefing session will be conducted on Microsoft Teams (link will be shared upon RSVP) to facilitate and assist applicant in understanding the Call requirements. The briefing session will take place on 03 July 2024 from 10h00 to 13h00.
Individuals that will be attending the compulsory briefing session, must send a confirmation email to customerservice@tia.org.za
by no later than 27 June 2024.
