Drought Policy Brief 2018
The Drought Policy Brief identifies the macro economic impact of the drought on Western Cape agriculture sector. The study was done by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture and the Bureau for Food and Agriculture Policy. The Western Cape agricultural sector is set to lose an estimated R5.9 billion in the 2017/18 season with ~ 30 000 jobs lost.
